Great breakfast, great location. Clean and professional.
I think the front desk is more used to dealing with business and vacationing types, whereas we were backpacking. So when we asked about ways to the airport and bus station, using local transport was not even an option they had in mind.
There was a strange kind of smell in the whole floor and the room and by massive use of roomspray they probably try to hide this . Our room , front- side , was not big but the beds were okay . We could not open our windows unfortunately in the morning because of the smoke coming from the old bakery chimney , across the street .
Breakfast in the top floor was rather poor and when the hotel is full ( many groups ) you will have to wait till a table is available . Unfortunately we were charged double , on our credit-card however we dis pay cash at departure . After many mails to the Hotel and Booking we now , after 6 weeks , did get the refund . Many other clients , did have the same problem , we were told because of their local Credit-card / Bank ! Just for your information .
When our rental car broke down they were fantastically helpful in getting it repaired swiftly and at little inconvenience to us. They also upgraded us to a suite which was great luck.
The location was great for touris sights. We walked to everything.
Smoky smelling, loud rooms.
A wonderful buffet served on the terrace overlooking the Mevlana
Melvana and Whirling Dirvishes
Well situated for visiting the Rumi museum, and with private parking. Very spacious room and quiet. The staff were polite and helpful.
The views from the Terrace Restaurant overlooking the Rose Garden of the Mevlana Museum were magnificent . We enjoyed relaxing up there, talking to the friendly staff and the food was fresh and well cooked. Staff were very helpful and interested in us as well
The internet connection was slow
Both bedrooms smelled of drain. Upon arrival we had to wait for half an hour because the person in charge of our checking was praying. Although we found this quite folklorist there were other people there who could have been left in charge of our checking(it was Ramadam period but the hotel was quite expensive) . The location on the other hand is just perfect for viditing the town and the Mevlana museum (as the hotel seats in front of it).
My wife and I chose Rumi hotel principally for its location. The object of our visit, to see Maulana Jalaludin Rumi's tomb, was literally a stone's throw away. The hotel did appear to be the best of those close to the tomb, both in terms of cleanliness and facilities offered, though I felt it was a tad bit expensive..which I put down to the location! The air conditioning was not very effective, so a visit in the height of summer may leave you a little hot under the collar!
The Rumi hotel is a modern 3/4 * hotel in the centre of Konya near to the 'Dervish Museum'. We had a suite for a very modest amount.
Like most of Konya the Rumi does not serve alcohol. there is a alcohol shop around the corner and you are allowed to drink in your room.
Great place to visit the Mevlana museum. Nice terrace for breakfast with view on the museum. Nice blue dome of the building. Quiet.
The staff went the extra mile to help me with my journey and assisting me with organisation of travel etc I was very immured see by the customer care and hospitality shown by Ahmed, Ahmed and Fateh. Even the owner Mustafa was joyful and down to earth. I hope to return soon Faisal
Very friendly stuffs
The room we have stayed doesn't have enough sunlight
The location was excellent for access to the museum and surrounding city. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a spa suite and it was large, clean and comfortable.
